We have four physiotherapists who are caring, highly experienced and knowledgeable in Vestibular Rehabilitation and because of the number of physiotherapists and locations we have shorter waiting times for appointments.
PRINCIPAL PHYSIOTHERAPIST AND BUSINESS OWNER
Meg Richards
Meg graduated from University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 1982. She completed a Masters in Human Services through Griffith University in 1992. She worked for Queensland Health, specialising in rehabilitation, until 2000. In 1999 she established Equilibrium Rehab and worked between private practice and the Princess Alexandra Hospital that year. In 2000 she began working full time in private practice specialising in Neurological & Vestibular Rehabilitation, and later specialised completely in Vestibular Rehabilitation. In 2004 she completed her competency based Basic Vestibular Rehabilitation Course at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Since then she has also completed the Advanced course. Meg attends the Neuro-Otology Society of Australia (NOTSA) annual conference, as well as the international BARANY conferences bi-annually.
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Marion Baxter
Marion graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 1993. After working as a Physiotherapist in a number of rotating hospital positions, she started working solely in Rehabilitation in 2000 at Allamanda Private Hospital and then the Mater Private Hospital. From 2000-2003 she was also involved in lecturing and 1 semester of course convening in the School of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Health Sciences at Griffith University (Southport Campus). Marion started to work at Equilibrium Rehab in 2008 and has continued to work part-time in the clinic since then. She has attended the Basic Competency and Mater Class courses held by the Herdmann Group. Marion enjoys keeping up to date with the current research and practices including attending the annual Neuro-Otology Society of Australia (NOTSA) conference.
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Stéphane Desjardins
Stéphane graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (First Class Honours) from The University of Queensland in 2016. Since then, he has worked across a diverse range of fields in physiotherapy, including musculoskeletal private practice, orthopaedics, and neurological rehabilitation. He has developed a special interest in vestibular physiotherapy, and has completed post graduate training in the field including Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation, BPPV Intensive, and attends the annual Neuro-Otology Society of Australia (NOTSA) conference. He is passionate about quality care and patient education and understands the importance of clear communication for this purpose.
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Liza Spengler
Liza graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies from The University of Queensland in 2014. She has worked primarily in the Private Inpatient Rehabilitation setting with a focus in neurological rehabilitation. Through working with people after stroke, vestibular and brain surgery, she developed a keen interest in Vestibular Physiotherapy.
She has completed post graduate studies in the area of Vestibular function across the lifespan, advanced BPPV management, and will be completing further in-depth vestibular studies in future. She strives to provide excellent advice, education, and the best care to assist each patient in their vestibular journey.

Tania Steward
The friendly voice that you will first hear when you call our office belongs to Tania Steward
Tania joined Equilibrium Rehab in May 2008
Prior to this she had extensive customer experience in the hospitality and accommodation industry
Her responsibilities and experience have grown with the expansion of the practice

Natasha Kefford
Natasha joined Equilibrium Rehab in 2022, working part time at the practice. She answers the phone and is the other friendly voice that you hear when you ring us.
She has previously worked in Hospitality, Education and Job Services industries, and works to provide outstanding customer service.
